Wake up to high style casualness!
Looking to create a sophisticated and feminine dining room? Using the inspirational colors and materials from House Beautiful’s ‘Paint Palette’ article we have chosen soft pale materials and simple patterns with lots of texture to convey dining room decor that feels serene to enjoy that relaxed Saturday morning with an espresso and blissfully dive into your online reads.
To accomplish this we selected a gorgeous patterned wallpaper by Schumacher. This is the statement for the dining room and needs this impact of design foundation for all other items to support. We then included textural wood elements to add warmth and masculinity with the corbels and an old world dining table. The settee with it’s tuxedo back and tufting gives a chic sophistication to the rooms without being overly stuffy by using an updated grey tone. The dining chairs with their pale pink stitched horizontal lines gives some softness to the table and picks up on the dining room wallpaper. And the wow factor being the chandelier that lends the high style to the old world dining table and soft furnishings. The art selection can be individualized for your taste however we choose a classic art piece to tie in the the classic lines of furnishings and give a sense of history to the space.
How to use paint colors
To incorporate the paint colors you could paint the ceiling the pale blue (by Glidden called Quiet Rain GLC33) and use the wallpaper as a dining room accent wall and paint the surrounding walls the pale pink (Glidden called Cameo Stone GLC22). The trim for the baseboards and window casing would look fantastic with the (Ralph Lauren Paint called Pocket Watch White WW01) a gorgeous warm white.
